The Connex Tigers in Schools program is targeted at primary school children from around Melbourne.
It’s a fun way for students to pick up some basic footy skills tips and learn about safe train travel at the same time! You might even get to meet your favourite Richmond footy player!
Connex and the Richmond Football Club (RFC) have partnered to deliver this program, which sees representatives from Connex and RFC visiting schools t o conduct a fun and interactive school football clinic.
To cap off your footy training, there’ll be a short session about train safety, which will show you how to stay safe when you’re travelling by train (to the footy or anywhere else!).
Connex and the Richmond Football Club have been running the program for four years.
Last year, we visited over 20,000 children at 148 primary schools... that’s a lot of kick-to-kick!
Click through to ‘Tiger Tails’ in the menu above to meet our mascot Tiger Stripes who’ll show you the five rules for safe train travel.
You can also get some more footy tips from Richmond players.
If you’re a teacher use this website to find out how your school can get involved.
Don’t forget to check out the competitions section of the website, too!
